Transportation Safety Planning - A Working Group of the Federal Highway Administration

Research and Publications

With their busy and demanding schedules, it is difficult for transportation planners to keep up-to-date with the latest in transportation safety research. Following is a list of recent research topics along with links to presentations on transportation safety planning. In addition, this section includes Safety Conscious Planning Forum reports from eleven states. These forums were organized by the TSPWG prior to the passage of SAFETEA-LU to start the dialogue between transportation and safety agencies and to develop collaborative strategies for improving safety.
